Still talking about nutrition, but specifically about the best supplements today.

Quick question, what do you drink?

Vodka? Whiskey? Rum? Gin?

Whatever you drink or have drunk in the past, I’m sure there was a time you have tried some pretty cheap alcohol v some top notch expensive liqueur.

I’m not much of a drinker these days but have previously preferred a vodka or 2.

In my younger days when I used to drink to get drunk, it would be any old bottle the cheaper the better.

I remember buying a bottle of Schmirnikov not Smirnoff, this was a cheap copy.

The hangover was unreal, took me over a week to feel normal again.

Then in my later days at a few fancy parties I got introduced to Grey Goose which is a pretty expensive vodka, seriously good, no aftertaste and even better hardly any hangover.

It’s like anything you only ever get what you pay for, and it’s the same with supplements.

If you want to feel your absolute best and get the best possible health benefits from your supplements then buying the cheapest you can find is not the best idea.

Always buy the best supplements that you can afford, a bit like buying your food shopping.

So what supplements should you be taking and most importantly why should you be taking supplements?

Ideally we should get all our nutrients, vitamins and minerals from our food sources but…

Food today is seriously lacking in adequate amounts of the vitamins and minerals we need for optimal health, this combined with a typical western diet is a recipe for disaster.

Taking a supplement is your insurance policy and safeguard to optimal health, it can help to regulate hormone production, energy and protect against disease.

Supplements work with your new clean nutrition plan to ensure you are feeling and looking your best.

Which supplements to take can be confusing with so many different products and claims, luckily we have read and researched and also tried out all of our recommended supplements.

Vitamin D

Benefits include increased brain function, immune health, bone health and well-being. Supplementation can also reduce the risks of cancer, heart disease, diabetes and multiple sclerosis.

Magnesium

Helps to reduce blood pressure, control insulin, increased cognition and is the 2nd most common deficiency in the world (1st being Vit D)

Omega 3 (Fish Oil)

Reduces inflammation, helps the joints and can also decrease the risk of diabetes and several forms of cancer, including breast cancer.

I personally recommend and use PURE PHARMA products. These are simply the best in the market, we only recommend these to our clients at Reactive Training.

Lean Greens

Is a greens shake combining fruit and vegetables to ensure you are getting your daily fix.

  • 5 Potent Grasses that neutralise the acidic environment in your body
  • 3 Platefuls of veg with a unique vitamin and mineral mix
  • The fruity combo with anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties
  • 5 Enzymes to help your body absorb fats, sugar and starch
  • The fat burning, metabolic kick from green tea and siberian ginseng

These are the essential supplements we recommend everyone should take for optimal health, we do use other supplements such as protein and creatine but they are not recommended for everyone.

All the supplements we recommend have been vastly researched on humans and are proven to work.

We have a trade account with all supplements we recommend (because we take them ourselves), if interested let me know and we can normally save you a few quid on the website prices plus postage.

*PLEASE NOTE*

Supplements should be used to supplement a healthy diet, they are not designed to replace eating proper meals.

Certain meal replacement shakes are very popular at the moment such as Juice Plus and Herbalife to name a few.

We do not recommend meal replacement shakes and if you would like any more information we would be happy to explain why.
