STEPS UP

How was your weekend?

Iv’e had a rubbish few weeks, diet has not been that great and not trained as much as I would have liked.

Do you ever just have a bad day, turns into a bad week?

You end up eating rubbish to feel better and end up feeling worse.

Its like a vicious circle and you just can’t seem to get out?

It happens, life happens, the trick is to not beat yourself up if you don’t quite meet your targets with training and nutrition.

One of the ways to ensure having a few bad days wont impact on your result is to keep your steps up.

Steps?

Yep at Reactive everyone has a target of hitting 10,000 steps every day, we even have our own leaderboard.

We use Fitbit Activity monitors which also monitor our sleep quantity and quality.

So why 10,000 steps?

Walking is something everyone can do no matter their health, and 10,000 steps has been scientifically proven to improve your health.

So how do we get our 10,000 steps?

  • Park your car further away from the doors at home / work / shops etc
  • Take the stairs
  • Walk to the shops, don’t drive
  • March in place while watching TV
  • Walk your dog further
  • Go a 10 minute walk after dinner
  • Dance
  • Walk the kids to school
  • Window shopping
  • Walk up and down all the aisles of the grocery store
  • Go the long way round to your destination
  • March in place while cooking
  • Take the kids to the park to play
  • Feed the ducks
  • March in place while on the phone

Whats the number 1 excuse for less activity and not exercising?

“I don’t have time”

Well lucky for you that there is no need to spend an hour or more at once trying to get your 10,000 steps (about 5 miles).

They can be accumulated just like exercise (more on that laters).

So small little changes starting today, WILL make a difference within a week that will be 70,000 steps done.

Why not give it a go and see the difference after just 1 week, what have you got to lose? (apart from a few extra lbs).

With the clocks changing and the better weather on the way there really is no excuses.

Our new block starts tonight and we will be back in the park on Wednesday and Saturday for some fun outdoor sessions.

We have 1 place left for our evening camp starting tonight due to a late cancelation, so if you want to join the team get in touch asap.

Our new morning class will be starting end of April and is also high in demand, we have had over 100 enquiries so far.
